About the Author
Dr. Manvi Verma holds India's first M.Ch. in Cosmetic Gynecology, completed at AIIMS Rishikesh. That's not a small claim - the field barely existed as a formal specialty when she started training in it. She now runs the Cosmetic Gynecology and Female Sexual Health Clinic she set up at MGM Institute of Medical Sciences, Vashi, a clinic that didn't exist before she built it in 2022.
The idea for it came out of her own residency, actually. She kept seeing gaps - women dealing with incontinence, discomfort after childbirth, or sexual health concerns nobody had really trained her to address, and few doctors were talking about openly. So she went and specialised in exactly that.
Ask her about it and she'll usually bring up wanting these conversations to feel normal, not something patients whisper about, and wanting the procedures priced so they're not just available to whoever can afford a premium clinic.
Patients see her for a mix of things: functional problems like urinary incontinence and vaginal laxity following delivery, aesthetic procedures including labiaplasty and clitoral hood reduction, and regenerative or PRP-based treatments aimed at sexual wellness - the O-shot, V-shot, and P-shot among them, alongside G-spot and labial augmentation. She also treats genital pigmentation, runs vaginismus therapy (often with couples counselling built in), and sees patients for ongoing feminine wellness rather than a single one-off visit.

Professional Experience
She's been Assistant Professor of OBGY at MGM Institute of Medical Sciences since October 2022, and In-Charge of the clinic she founded there. Before that, her residencies ran through AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr. D. Y. Patil University in Navi Mumbai, and Government Medical College, Jammu. She also wrote the curriculum for MIRAG's one-year cosmetic gynecology certificate course and has taught for IMMAST's programme in the same area.

Her M.Ch. in Cosmetic Gynecology came from AIIMS Rishikesh, 2019 to 2022 - the country's first. She's since added training in structural fat grafting and completed a formal research methodology course, also at AIIMS.

Publications & Recognition
Somewhere north of a dozen published papers at this point, ranging from cosmetic gynecology proper to high-risk obstetrics and sexual health. One of hers is among the earlier published overviews of cosmetic gynecology as a distinct subspecialty in India. She's also written on clitoral reconstruction technique, the cost-effectiveness of treating stress urinary incontinence, and contributed a book chapter on body dysmorphic disorder as it relates to cosmetic procedures - a subject that comes up more than people might expect. Another chapter, for an upcoming textbook on regenerative and cosmetic gynecology, is still in progress.
She won the IASRM Excellence Award in 2024 and took second prize in the Aesthetic & Regenerative category at INSARG 2022 in Agra. She's a member of FOGSI and several other professional bodies tied to her specialty.
